Africa in art, craft and…. Fair Trade
The exhibition „African Kaleidoscope’ has been officially opened in Poznan on Sunday 11 th of September in the Botanic Garden of Adam Mickiewicz University
The aim of this exhibition is to introduce different arts and crafts of the African nation. Not only sculptures, masks, musical instruments and a collection of craft-work from Cameroon, Zaire, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, Burundia are presented during the exhibition, also African Fair Trade products take part in this presentation.
The background for this exhibition will be pictures and African traditional music. From the descriptions anybody can gain an insight into African problems and hope which is given by the worldwide Fair Trade movement.
Since many years Europeans show their deep interest in Arfican culture which has a great impact on the fields of arts and jazz music.
The exhibition is open to the public from 11 th of September till 13th of November 2011 during the opening hours of Botanic Garden in Poznan. Admission for the exhibision is free.
The exhibition is connected with many different workshops and lectures for students, teachers and various public. It’s organized by “Aware and Fair” Project and Polish Fair Trade Association.
